A research-intensive institute, our desire is to be internationally renowned for research excellence - placed in the world top 100 for research impact through citations of our research work by other university researchers. Our specialization range from biodiversity management and agroforestry management to the environment and responses to climate change; exploring issues of carbon forestry, ecosystem restoration and philanthropy organization management. We have strong collaborative research links across the world and are working toward establishing more especially with international and local research centres and Universities.
The essence of this is to take students away from the everyday class room to the rugged hills, forests, mountains, mangroves and natural systems.
