My name is Forbi Perise. I am an Agroforestry Management Student at the ERuDeF Institute of Biodiversity and Non-Profit Studies (ERuDeF Institute). I am a lover of nature with strong passion for environmental protection. In a bid to realize such a passion, I enrolled into the University of YaoundeI shortly after my Advanced Level to study Geology. One year after, I stopped schooling because I never found fulfillment in my study area and the nature of training. I saw my stay there as a complete waste of time, and so decided to come back to Buea.
Few months after my stay in Buea, I came across the brochure of ERuDeF Institute and the caliber of programmes offered at the institution caught my attention. I saw my aspirations coming true through the programmes. I therefore made further inquiries, was oriented and got enrolled into the Institution.
Since my enrollment I have enjoyed every second of my time at the ERuDeF Institute; it’s just like the perfect place for me, and I am sure to realize my dream with quality of training they offer. They have a group of carefully selected staff, who are always there to impact aknowledge on me . The training and orientation I have gotten so far, have equipped me with knowledge and skills, which I am already making use of.
My time at ERuDeF Institute has not just being about class room theories but also putting in practice what I learnt. I am presently working as a volunteer with the mother organisation of this training Institution called, Environment and Rural Development Foundation (ERuDeF), Cameroon’s leading conservation non-profit organisation. Also, I have through ERuDeF Institute, had the opportunity to attend seminars and workshops which I consider very beneficial to my career. Within the short period of time at the Institute, I have benefited a lot and its very evident that I have had only the tip of the iceberg, as there are prospects of even better days ahead.
