After undergoing a one-year of study Environmental Science at the University of Buea, my passion for environmental conservation and the desire to put theory into practice heightened. Thus, I decided to embark on an internship in this domain immediately, something that is normally done after second year of undergraduate studies.

In my search, I discovered that the ERuDeF Institute of Biodiversity and Non-profit Studies (ERuDeF Institute) was the best place for this project. I applied and was assigned to carry out internship at the Institute.

I had gone to ERuDeF Institute with the intention of gaining practical some ideas about wildlife conservation but the ERuDeF staff were so hospitable and professional that in the course of my internship, I also learnt other things which were out of my field like how a good organizational chart should look like, nursery management, etc.  I also learnt that in order to lead you must have a good mastery of your subject area.

It was such a great experience and I think that by the end of this internship, I will have a wider understanding of the way I view and analyze things in life, especially in the field of conservation.

I remain thankful to the ERuDeF Institute and ERuDeF staff for their collaboration
