Overview:
The ERuDeF Center for Environmental Filmmaking and Photography seeks to inspire a new generation of filmmakers and media experts whose commitment to environmental stewardship and to drives them to produce creative work that is informative, ethically sound, entertaining and makes a positive difference.
This Center has in its own capacity to educate the massed through short videos, photos and documentaries about conservation in Cameroon, biodiversity, agriculture and is still carrying out these activities as the center strives to grow bigger and better through funding and partnership creation. CEFiP will serve both the outreach interest of ERuDeF to promote its Cameroon and sub-regional program while at the same time providing core courses, experiential learning opportunities, creative media laboratories, documentary series, the principal inputs to the functioning of the Green Media TV and internships through the ERuDeF University Institute.
CEFiP works in partnership with NGOs, government agencies, news media and other universities. Its scope extends to include climate change, women and gender, other thematic areas in sustainable development and sustainable development goal (SDGs). CEFiP was found by Louis Nkembi, CEO of ERuDeF.
Louis Nkembi is an award winning conservationist with over 23 years in conservation.
CEFiP manager is by Shuimo Trust.
This Centers works with likeminded institutions in and out of Cameroon to deliver training to its students given the ever changing and competitive nature of this field. The center is currently working with the ERuDeF institution of Applied Biodiversity Sciences to deliver short courses on environmental filmmaking, photography and videography to its ever-increasing students.
