PRESIDENT’S WELCOME
Dear Student,
I am pleased to welcome you to our unique yet distinct ERuDeF University Institute of Biodiversity and Applied sciences (EUIABS). Congratulations on making this noble and wise decision to be part of a team that will not only open you up to opportunities in the field of conservation but will open your minds and hearts to protect the world in which we live. Imagine a world where even the tiniest of creatures had their part to play and we let them do so.
Having in the past years tried to recruit persons of different backgrounds to work in our organization, we realized that there was a gap in the education offered by our schools and universities. While these universities spend 90% of their time focusing on theory, ERuDeF University Institute of Biodiversity and Applied sciences spends similar amount of time focusing on professional practice. Such professionalism and experience are earned in the field and not in the class room.
Whatever you have chosen as a course of study- Biodiversity Conservation, Environmental Journalism, Agroforestry Management, Environmental Education, NGO and Fundraising Studies, GIS for Development or Mountain Studies, you have made the best choice. You have chosen to leave the conformist classroom of note-taking and examinations to be engaged, more as a professional, where your skills will be honed to meet your professional realities. Your passion and your drive will take you through.
At the end of your stay with us, you will be offered, certificates, diplomas and or degrees, which should help you get employment in other organizations both nationally and internationally. If you do not get to do this, you could set up a project of your own and run it.
ERuDeF will also continue to recruit annually the top 20% graduates in to its field and administrative programs. However, they must be professionally behaved and portray a high sense of responsibility and entrepreneurship.
