“All learning without play makes Jack a dull boy”! The ERuDeF University Institute organises a weekly sport for all students including but not limited to football, handball, athletics, basket ball and tennis. Keep-fit activities are also carried out during the sport day. The ERuDeF University Institute is also putting in place a wildlife conservation football tournament to increase wildlife conservation awareness

Jobs Opportunities

ERuDeF recruits annually the top 20% graduates in to its field and administrative programmes. These students must be professionally behaved and portray a high sense of responsibility and entrepreneurship.

Lodging

ERuDeF University Institute does not offer or operate student housing. However, we can assist you find out-of-campus accommodation as your preference may be at your cost. This ranges from 230,000frs ($460) for a self-content room (that is with a wardrobe, internal bath with flushing toilet) to 420,000frs ($840) for a studio (with one bed room, a living room, a kitchen and an internal bath with flushing toilet).

Life in Buea & Restauration

Buea is the administrative capital of southwest Cameroon, which is by far the best region in the country in terms of night life, and is considered the best touristic region in the country to visit. It is home to the highest mountain in the Cameroon and in West Africa, Mount Cameroon with a coastline and attractive beaches , which give the area an almost temperate climate markedly different from the rest of the country. A few Kilometres away is the Korup national park with a wide variety of rare animals and trees.

This area is highly dominated by students from over 15 universities/institutes of higher learning.

Though a student residential town, Buea has lots of spots and restaurants for students’ leisure and entertainment, which include but are not limited to;

– Restaurant Capitol Hotel, Clerks Quarter

  • Lady L Hotel Restaurant, Molyko
  • AFC Alliance Franco Camerounaise Snack Bar & Restaurant

These restaurants provides a plethora of dishes most especially Staple Cameroon foods like cassava, coco-yam,yam,rice,plantain,potato, maize,beans, and millet, and Ndole, Achu, which are served along site main protein sources like fish, chicken, meat, and bush meat etc

There are also night clubs for further entertainment some of which include;

  • Night Club Muea (King David Square Hotel)
  • Uni Spot Inn at Molyko
  • Kalu drinking spot Buea Town
  • Plakinen Mutengene
  • The Spot Clerks quarters (on the way to the General Hospital)
  • Las Vergas in Molyko
  • Jupiter etc

In term of circulation, Buea is well served with taxis from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. After this time taxi becomes scarce. Normal taxi fare is 150 F CFA per drop. (Taxis could be hired for a higher cost depending on the Km and time covered). Mini busses deserve Douala, Limbe and Kumba from the car park at Mile 17. Car and taxi tarifs out of Buea to Muea (town market) 250 F CFA (0,40 €); Buea to Mutengene 400 F CFA (0,60 €); Buea to Tiko 550 F CFA (0,80 €); Buea to Douala 1500 F CFA (2,30 €); Buea to Limbe 800 F CFA (1,20 €); Buea to Kumba 1700 F CFA (2,60 €). The taxis are all in yellow and are shared.

Skills Development Unit

This unit offers special induction lessons in core areas that will make your studies at the institute more convenient. These areas include; English language and Computer & Access to internet. This will however require an extra charge from the students
